Job Description
Summary
The Margaret M. and Albert B. Alkek Department of Medicine is the largest adult practice department at Baylor College of Medicine with more than 600 faculty members in 14 sections, 10 centers, and seven vice-chair groups. The Department of Medicine offers an Internal Medicine Residency, medicine-related fellowship programs, undergraduate medical education, continuing education and grand rounds within its Education mission.
Job Duties
- Assists with day-to-day operations of an education program.
- Coordinates the trainee recruitment season for 550-750 candidates in Thalamus.
- Managesprogram letters of agreement.
- Responsible for managing and completing trainee verifications, ensuring accuracy and timely responses.
- Develops knowledge of ACGME, GME, NRMP, MedHub and other accreditation and compliance systems.
- Handles increasing scope and complexity of duties including ability to effectively multitask, communicate, and manage many personality types.
- Assists with audio/visual needs, plans meetings, conferences and events.
- Handles confidential trainee information with professionalism.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
