College/Department Information
The Augusta University Honors Program provides all motivated and high-potential learners the opportunity to enhance their undergraduate education. Our honors curriculum encompasses three central educational goals knowledge, communication, and professionalism supported through creative core courses, unique interdisciplinary seminars, and mentored projects. The process of undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity culminates in an honors thesis. Throughout the program, honors students receive advising, instruction, and mentoring from honors staff and faculty and the support to present their findings at appropriate state, regional, and national conferences.
Job Summary
Successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating special events and projects, developing and leading the HP living learning community, and advising the Honors Program Student Association. Applicant will also collaborate with the Director and Assistant Director with such tasks as student recruitment, advising current students for fellowships and scholarships, running workshops, and tracking and publicizing HP student achievements.

Responsibilities
EVENT PLANNING: Collaborate with both campus partners (e.g., the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship and the Study Abroad office) and other AUHP staff to build a network of volunteer and community engagement opportunities and promote them to students. Assist other AUHP staff in organizing AUHP events and programming.
HPSA: Manage Honors Program Student Association officers and chairs and assist them with the planning and execution of service and social activities. Provide mentorship and advising to all current and previous officers.
LIVING LEARNING COMMUNITY: Develop and lead the Augusta University Honors Program Living Learning Community (LLC) and LLC mentorship program. Develop and host programming and events for LLC students. Complete annual assessments of the program and track student success and engagement for both active and past members. Provide mentorship and advising to all current and previous LLC students.
ADVISING SPECIAL POPULATIONS WITHIN THE AUHP: Assist Advising Coordinator and Assistant Director of Academic Affairs with the AUHP advising load by advising all previous and current LLC members as well as all current and previous HPSA executive members. Assist in tracking HP track students. Assist in cultivating the DPT pathway by advising DPT interested students.
STUDENT RECRUITING: Collaborate with Assistant Director of Academic Affairs to review and manage incoming/rolling applications for AUHP.
SPECIAL PATHWAY MANAGEMENT: Identify and recruit students to DPT pathway. Collaborate with the AUHP Director to identify research and creative opportunities for thesis students including partnerships with the Graduate School and other departments. Work with the AUHP Director to identify, recruit and prepare HP students for internship pathways.
ADVERTISING & PUBLICITY: Working with campus organizations to publicize AUHP events and accomplishments. Maintain an active and collegial relationship with Communication & Marketing to ensure marketing compliance. Oversee AUHP social media accounts to publicize current AUHP events & student accomplishments. Coordinate with HPSA executive board to disseminate AUHP newsletters.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with at least two years of experience working with students in a higher education setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with advising and program coordination at a college or university. At least one year of experience working with an honors program or a similar student population.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software.
Experience with databases; computer networks; desktop publishing, spreadsheets, email and word processing.
Knowledge of U.S. and international university programs, academic issues and procedures.
Experience with advising and program coordination at a college or university. At least one year of experience working with an honors program or a similar student population.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability and willingness to learn Banner, Slate, Crystal and JagTrax.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively as a team member.
Ability to work independently and to be self-directed and self-motivated.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; M-F
Pay Band: B6
Salary: $18.85/hourly-$22.58/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
