Job Description

Responsibilities
Accounts Payable/Receivable

Through pcard or USU EZ Buy purchases all department supplies, computer equipment and software for department, faculty, staff and students
Gift card custodian
Graduate Assistantship (GA) Funding

Facilitates GA assignments by corresponding with business manager, department head, graduate program director, graduate program coordinator (GPC), and faculty
Coordinates GA tuition, travel awards, and research awards
Employment Support

Coordinates course instructor payments
Coordinates hiring agreements
Other Financial Support

Oversees course fee and differential indexes
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Six years of directly related financial work experience with increasing responsibilities or bachelor’s degree in a business field plus two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in contract/grants/research administration.
Experience in USU’s EZ Buy system.
Working knowledge of USU payroll/HR policies and procedures.
Experience in ServiceNow Pcard system as receipt attacher or cardholder.
Experience working in an academic department.
Working knowledge of USU’s purchasing and operational policies.
Keyboarding and ten-key skills to support accurate and timely data entry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of purchasing and accounts payable procedures, including those that relate to a public institution.
Knowledge of accounts reconciliation and ability to reconcile indexes.
Skilled with computer programs, including Excel and Windows. Able to independently develop Excel formulas and develop professional documents with appropriate grammar and punctuation.
Skilled with basic office equipment, including printers, copiers, fax/scanners and telephone systems.
Good organizational skills and experienced in managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential business data and personal information.
Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality and work without close supervision.
Excellent customer service.
