Summary
The Parihar Lab is translating a preclinically-validated NK cell immunotherapy product to clinical trial. The project requires a Research Technician to provide much-needed support of several aspects of this translation. The position requires lab-based scientific work in NK cell product generation and protocol validation, translation of the generation protocol to a GMP facility for product manufacture for clinical trial, and validation of lab-based assays for product release criteria. Position will be scientific lab-based but highly clinical in nature. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in truly translational science and medicine.
Job Duties
- Generates engineered NK cell lines in the lab and an on-site GMP facility.
- Compares generated lines using cytotoxicity assays, ELISA, and flow cytometry.
- Works with Dr. Parihar and GMP supervisors in banking the NK cell lines.
- Completes relevant documents, provides updates, and completes reports.
- Ensures NK cell generation protocols are being followed and that research activities meet institutional and regulatory standards.
- Processes documents and enters information into databases following specific protocol guidelines.
- Works in a team environment with faculty and other staff members in collegial atmosphore.
- Participates in weekly Parihar Lab meetings, Center for Cell and Gene Therapy (CAGT) conferences, and appropriate GMP meetings, as assigned.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year or greater of relevant scientific lab experience after college is a plus.
- Has excellent lab, organizational, and communication skills.
