Job Description
Summary
Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Immunology, Allergy and Retrovirology Service at Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and organized individual to join the Immunogenetics Research Program as a Research Technician. The technician will be responsible for organizing national expert panel activities. This is a part-time position (16 hours/week) and for limited duration considering the funding for this position.
Job Duties
- Organizes and coordinates national genetic expert panel activities:
 - Completes and maintains research compliance training. Tracks compliance amongst project members.
 - Works closely with biocurator(s) of genetic diseases and variants.
 - Tracks and documents national genetic expert panel accomplishments.
 - Coordinates expert panel conference calls.
 - Submits expert panel summaries to repositories and databases.
 - Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
 - One year of relevant experience.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a Genetic Counseling Master's program will be a plus.
